Dear Brother Knights,

           I would just like to start off by saying that it is truly an honor to serve the council as Grand Knight for the 2010-2011 fraternal year. I would also like to thank the two officers who will be stepping down this year. Past Grand Knight Ray Rocco for the outstanding job he did as Chancellor, and Robert Hoffmann who did a terrific job as Inside Guard. I would also like to thank all the officers and members who have made our council a fun place to be even in these hard economical times. I would also like to welcome the two new officers we have this year. Dan Farrell our new Lecturer and Timothy Tobin our new Inside Guard.

            On April 25^th we had our first Fishing Derby at the Ernest Thompson Seton Boy Scout Reservation. I want to thank Committee Chairman Robert Hoffman, Deputy Grand Knight Johnathan Fasone, Craig Jones, John Fasone, and Tom Pankosky for running the event. I would also like to thank The Sportsmen Den for sponsoring the event. The children really enjoyed themselves. You know it’s a great event when no one wants to leave.

            At the Annual Home Association Meeting Brother Vincent Masi had decided that he would not seek another term on the Board of Directors. On behalf of the board I would just like to thank him for his many years of devoted service. He will be truly missed. I would also like to welcome our newest board member Past Grand Knight Kevin McFadden.

            On September 13^th we will holding are Annual Ed Kavanagh Scholarship Golf Tournament. As you can see by are Web Site Home Page we are well underway and Committee Chairman Dan Farrell has already put into motion plans to make this outing (if you can believe it ) even better than last the one. If you are planning on playing please sign up early. Remember this outing as sold out the last two years. Also please take a careful look at our sponsorship page and consider participating in one of our levels of sponsorship. With the monies we made last year we were able to give out eight scholarships this year.
